A Rainy-Day Blessing: Caitlin & Jacob’s Beautiful Bali Wedding at Komune Resort
As a Bali wedding photographer, I’m lucky to witness countless love stories unfold in paradise, and Caitlin & Jacob’s wedding at Komune Resort was one for the books. This was my second time capturing a Bali wedding at this stunning venue, nestled along the famous Keramas Beach, a beloved haven for surfers and nature lovers alike.
Held in March, during Bali’s unpredictable rainy season, the day started with bright skies and a soft ocean breeze. It felt like the perfect setting for a dream wedding. But, as it often goes in Bali, the weather had its own plans. Just before the ceremony began, the sky turned moody and cloudy. Still, cloudy skies in Bali don’t always mean rain, and that day, they created a beautifully dramatic backdrop for the celebration.
As the first drops began to fall, the team at Komune Resort quickly transitioned the ceremony to a covered indoor space. What could have been a disappointment turned into something truly magical. The love between Caitlin & Jacob lit up the room. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, they exchanged vows with laughter, tears, and a kind of joy that no weather could dim.
As a Bali photographer, moments like these remind me why I love what I do. The emotion, spontaneity, and beauty of a couple deeply in love, it’s what every wedding is really about.
