Sabesh & Jahnavy — A Surprise Breakfast Proposal at Villa Desa Roro, Canggu, That Nobody Saw Coming. Except Everyone.
Sabesh contacted us in December 2025. He knew what he wanted — a surprise proposal in Bali, sometime in May when he and Jahnavy would already be on the island for a friend’s wedding. He had the ring. He had the person. He just needed everything else.
We started from there together. Florist brief, photographer and videographer coordination, and the one detail that made this particular proposal something else entirely: logistics for a secret that involved two families across two countries, none of whom could breathe a word.
The story Jahnavy was told was simple. They were going for breakfast.
What she didn’t know was that both families — parents, siblings, cousins — had quietly stayed back in Bali instead of flying home to Australia. They were already at Villa Desa Roro, Canggu, waiting. White flowers filled the garden. Marigolds were placed with intention. A floral arch sat in front of the pool, dressed and ready, for a moment that only one person in the garden didn’t know was coming.
When Sabesh went down on one knee, Jahnavy’s hands went straight to her face. She stood there for a moment — completely still, completely overwhelmed — before yes.
The ring went on. The champagne came out, just the two of them on the villa balcony. And then Sabesh told her there was one more thing.
The families came from behind her. All of them. At once.
That moment — the second surprise inside the first — was the one that broke the room open. Jahnavy turned around and saw the people she thought were already on a flight home. Her mother reached her first.
